Ruben Rada

Ruben Rada emerged as one of Nation’s most established musicians. He began his career in 1969 by releasing his album “Las Manzanas” ("Ruben Rada"). Throughout his career he has released 21 albums, making him popular not only in South America but also around the world. He has recently worked with record labels like Universal Records and EMI Latin.

Ruben’s music is greatly respected around Uruguay and the South American region. He has helped make the candombe style popular throughout Latin music, as well as breaking a lot of racial tension against Afro-Uruguayans.
